The University of Oslo is the oldest university in Norway, located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. It was founded in 1811 and was originally called the "Royal University of Frederick", after the collapse of the Danish-Norwegian Union was the only university in Norway until 1946. The university is multidisciplinary and ready to teach students of both humanitarian and natural specialties.
